KDF vs. Parasites
Specific laboratory testing that followed the 1992 Cryptosporidiosis (parasite) breakout in Milwaukee, when some 400,000 people became ill and many died, revealed that the standard "Single" KDF/GAC unit was able to kill/remove most bacteria, many viruses, and 80% of the parasites. The SlimLine and Heavy Duty "Dual" and "Triple" units, combining KDF, GAC and ceramic technology, proved to be even more effective, killing/removing "greater than 99.9%" of bacteria and parasites, and most viruses.
